Insolvency

We deal with all aspects of insolvency law and practice, acting for both insolvency practitioners, creditors or debtors – whether companies or individuals.

Residential Property

The Residential Property Department deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing ranging from sale and purchase of individual freehold and leasehold properties to buying and selling properties at auction and the acquisition and disposal of large portfolios of properties.

Private Client: Estate Planning, Wills and Probate

The Private Client Department deals primarily with the drafting of wills and the settling of deceased’s estates. We also advise on Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Settlements and related tax implications.

Commercial Property

The commercial property team act for a broad spectrum of clients and deal with a wide range of commercial property transactions including the purchase & sale of restaurants & hotels, leisure and recreation facilities, medical centres and offices as well as undertaking work for offshore clients and acting for banks and other lending institutions financing deals.

Personal Injury

The Personal Injury Department deals with all manner of claims for injury arising from accidents due to another party’s negligence and has specific expertise in high-value claims.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

The Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department deal with all manner of contentious issues, ranging from debt recovery to major injunctions. We advise our clients on disputes relating to commercial contracts, buildings and property, sale of goods, banking and mortgage fraud and insolvency. We also deal with contentious probate, directors’ disqualification and bankruptcy.

Property Litigation

The Property Litigation Department deals with lease renewals (contested and non contested) under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, dilapidations and building claims.

Construction

Stephen ten Hove is our construction specialist. He provides construction advice to a wide range of developers, builders and professionals on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious construction law; on the non-contentious side this includes drafting suites of contracts for developments, advising clients on main contracts, sub-contracts, deeds of appointment, warranties and bonds.

Employment

The Employment Department deals with workplace issues, both contentious and non-contentious.

Media & Entertainment

We act for television and film production companies in respect of both the content and the financing and distribution of their productions.

Matrimonial & Children

The Family Department comprises a dynamic team of specialist family lawyers all of whom are members of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and who adhere to the Code of Practice by promoting a conciliatory approach.

Corporate

The Corporate Department has a wealth of experience in all aspects of company law from incorporation to restructuring, dissolution and sale.
