David has specialised in Family Law for over twenty five years, having initially been well- known as a Commercial Litigator.
He is a leading authority on pre-nuptial agreements and the reciprocal enforcement of Matrimonial Orders and has published articles on these areas in Family Law and other professional journals. He is in great demand as a lecturer and regular presents seminars on a wide variety of Family Law subjects to the Legal Profession, including pensions and cohabitation.
David wrote the Chapter on reciprocal enforcement of Maintenance Orders in the Solicitors Family Law Association publication ‘International Aspects on Family Law’.
David handles complex cases of all types arising from the breakdown of a relationship. He also advises in respect of cases with an international element.
He is regularly asked to take part in programmes on current legal topics by the media.
In the latest edition of Chambers which profiles specialist lawyers, David is described as “an ideas man who is adept at finding creative and cost-effective solutions.”
Career Details
David trained with Clintons in London and joined Ross & Craig in 1977. He became a Partner in 1978, Managing Partner in 1992 and Senior Partner in 2009.
Since 2006, David has been the Chair of the Eurojuris Family Law Practice Group and has recently been appointed as a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers
