Property Litigation
Keith specialises in all aspects of property litigation with particular emphasis on commercial disputes. This includes lease renewals (contested and non contested) under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954; dilapidations; building claims; interpretation of covenants within both commercial and residential leases; insolvency with particular reference to Landlord and Tenant; rent recovery. Keith also advises on the forfeiture of leases and actions against former tenants.
Keith acts for both substantial public limited companies in their capacity as both Landlords and as Tenants and he regularly advises a number of property investors as well as individual clients.
Insolvency
Keith acts for a number of Insolvency Practitioners, creditors, banks and other financial investors, advising on all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency including insolvency procedures, asset and debt recovery and restructuring.
Trusts/Contentious Probate
Keith has acted on a number of high value cases advising clients on all issues relating to contentious trust and estate matters, including: challenging Wills and intestacies; financial provision for spouses and other dependants; professional negligence claims against solicitors and other professional advisors as a result of such issues; and rectification and trust disputes.
Civil Litigation
Keith deals with all aspects of civil litigation. His particular specialist areas are professional negligence and disputes involving breaches of trust and fiduciary duty. He has also had extensive experience dealing with substantial mortgage fraud cases.
Career Details
Keith joined Ross & Craig in 1986 and became a partner in 1989.
